Are Your Airbags Recalled?

Are your airbags recalled?

Take a minute to check

Airbags are one of the most important safety features of your vehicle. In the event of an accident, airbags can help to save someone’s life. However, faulty airbags could deploy explosively whilst you are driving, and as a result vehicles with Takata airbags across the world have been recalled.

2 out of 7 cars on Australian roads have been affected by this recall, so there is a possibility that your car could be affected too.  The main cause of the problem is a metal cartridge – the airbag’s inflator which is loaded with propellant wafers has ignited with explosive force. Metal shards can be sprayed from the airbag throughout the passenger cabin if the inflator housing ruptures.

We recommend you check to see if your vehicle is affected by this recall.
